One of the few books for adults written by LM Montgomery, this is the most satisfying, cozy read. This is a thoroughly silly book that does not get any less silly each time I reread it, but it's in my top ten comfort reads, nevertheless. If you like this sort of thing (romance in which a repressed young woman comes into her own and scandalizes her repressive relatives by becoming a whole person), this is the sort of thing you will like.
