The atmosphere is incredible and immediate. Helen reminded me a lot of the protagonist of The Driver's Seat - another novel in which something is clearly off, but you can't quite get a bead on it. I loved this. I borrowed it from the library but will likely purchase my own copy. I can't wait to tell someone to use the waterfall coping strategy. ...more
