To be 100% honest here, I had to sit with this one for a bit. My reaction to the book wasn’t what I expected or planned for &I needed to see how my feelings played out before I sat down to write this review.
I knew going into this book, my emotions would be at the surface & ready to pretty much annihilate me. What I didn’t expect was the way I struggled through the first 60% of the book. I like bi awakening books and this one was really good. I did tear up a few times. A bit sad at times and angsty. Which I have to be in the mood to read if I want to enjoy it. I couldn’t put it down. Loved West and Brandt so much. The dual POV threw me a bit at first. I don’t know if it was the authors writing style or what. That usually doesn’t bother me.

3.5 stars
This is pretty heavy for the first half (view spoiler) and focused heavily on West being depressed and sorry for himself, with MC Brandt trying to hold everything together. I really enjoyed the last quarter but it wasn't enough to drag my rating to a full 4 stars. The knitting circle men were great - a very needed lightening to the story!
Narration was very good - 2 new to me narrators, Lance West and Curtis Micha ...more
