This book was unexpectedly really sweet and touching? I loved this book. I loved the main character. It's a brilliant story.
My main complaint: the introduction. Not only was it hellaciously long for a graphic novel, it was also unnecessary to the story? Author should have let his awesome work stand on its own. ...more

Love, Love, Loved it! I had an oppertunity to meet and talk with Mr. Doctorow last summer at ALA and was astounded by his vibrance, his passion, and his taking stance on things he sees wrong in our world. You get that from reading any of his works be them full length novels, or powerfully written graphic novels like this one. It starts out with narrative on gaming in our world and how it effects the economy, and people globally. Then we enter our story.
