This book deserves way more than 5 stars. This series in general deserves like 10 stars. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love and adore this series. The minute I started reading Tiger's Curse, I fell in love. I'm a huge tiger fan in general, which was one of the things that drew me to the series, but combined with Hindu culture- this series just plain rocks! Colleen Houck created this marvelous world that I can never tire of. She just sweeps me off my feet, and transports me to another This book deserves way more than 5 stars. This series in general deserves like 10 stars. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love and adore this series. The minute I started reading Tiger's Curse, I fell in love. I'm a huge tiger fan in general, which was one of the things that drew me to the series, but combined with Hindu culture- this series just plain rocks! Colleen Houck created this marvelous world that I can never tire of. She just sweeps me off my feet, and transports me to another world. I can easily get lost in this series (in a good way). In fact, this is the third time I have reread this series, and it had never gotten old. Every funny part, is still hilarious; every serious part, is all the more serious and leaves me hanging on the edge of my seat, even though I know what will happen.

Tiger's Curse made me fall in love with Ren. I, like Kelsey, was swept off my feet, and now desperately want an Indian prince that turns into a tiger haha. From start to finish, the adventure Kelsey, Ren, and Mr. Kadam (yet another character I love) went on was thrilling and never dragged. When (view spoiler), I was like, Girl, what the heck is wrong with you!? I was so frustrated at her. However, Tiger's Quest made up for it, and with (view spoiler), everything fell back into place as it should. I absolutely loved when Ren was "courting" Kelsey and everything that ensued. Then, (view spoiler), I was so full of sorrow. However, this is also when I started loving Kishan. I don't know what it was, but I really appreciated that we saw a different side to Kishan. And let me say, Kishan's dream just left me guessing. I loved their visit to Shangri-La, and found it so interesting. Then, when they (view spoiler), I felt like the series was only just starting. This book definitely didn't suffer middle-book/second-book syndrome. Finally, we arrive at Tiger's Voyage. This book just proves how amazing Ms. Houck's writing is. Much like the other books, Ms. Houck takes us on this wondrful journey that you never want to end. I loved the whole section with the dragons, and was rooting for (view spoiler). Nevertheless, the ending was unexpected (in more ways than one), and a huge cliffhanger!!! In one way, the ending was unexpected because (view spoiler), however there are still 2 books to go, so who knows what will happen.

Ms. Houck's writing is superb, and very descriptive. You can tell how much time and effort went into this series because of all the research that has to be done. I officially want to go to India to try and find Kishkindah, and to China to go to the Star Festival. I can't even begin to tell you how good this series is because it's something you have to discover for yourself. You will find yourself completely blown away at why this series isn't even more popular than it already is. I am eagerly awaiting September for the release of Tiger's Destiny. I can already tell you that it will be an amazing read, and an even more amazing adventure. ...more

I had to wait so long between "Tiger's Quest" and this book. I can say, that it was well worth it! I was absolutely heart-broken at the end of "Quest", and I wasn't sure how Ms. Houck was going to resolve some of the issues that transpired. I was SO pleased with how some of the "loose ends" were tied in "Voyage".

This book's predecessors, both offered romance, adventure, and drama. "Tiger's Voyage" followed the same formula. I've read this book at least three times now and have NEVER gotten bored ...more

I deeply enjoyed reading Tiger's Voyage. This series has become one of my all time favorites. Colleen Houck has again amazed me with her ability to write such inspiring and incredible novels. Tiger's Voyage is funny, touching, enticing, captivating, and filled with adventure, love, danger, magic, and consist with most things that make a novel truly great.

Oh, boy!! Where to begin?! I’ve been thinking (and stewing!) about this book for weeks. I’d probably give the adventure, action, imagination, and ending 5 stars, but the romance only 3 stars (if I’m generous). So, average to a 4 overall? I was seriously (!) irritated with the romantic turns and developments and I’ll rant about that in a spoilers section below. I haven’t been this worked up in a LONG time (which is also why I chose to rate this book as high as 4, even though I have deep-seated is Oh, boy!! Where to begin?! I’ve been thinking (and stewing!) about this book for weeks. I’d probably give the adventure, action, imagination, and ending 5 stars, but the romance only 3 stars (if I’m generous). So, average to a 4 overall? I was seriously (!) irritated with the romantic turns and developments and I’ll rant about that in a spoilers section below. I haven’t been this worked up in a LONG time (which is also why I chose to rate this book as high as 4, even though I have deep-seated issues with much of it).

I loved the various challenges and the adventure with the dragons. So unique, imaginative, and fun! I loved their different personalities and the twists and turns in the plot, as well as the heart-stopping action and suspense. Fantastic!! I couldn’t decide which dragon encounter I liked better! And, I do love learning more about the culture, legends, and mythology that the author presents. Feels like I’m taking something away besides just being entertained by the book. The diving stuff was interesting, too. I also liked the humor, especially supplied by a couple of new characters--the diving instructor (Wes) and Ren’s friend (Randi). This helped to take the edge off my frustration with the romance.

Now to the romance, if I can express myself at all coherently (warning: definitely some *SPOILERS* ahead): Kelsey’s actions were understandable to me until mid-way through the book (though I never did understand the urgency to move forward with a new relationship RIGHT NOW in the midst of an unknown and dangerous situation when she still loves the other guy…). After that all I wanted to do was hit her with something heavy until she “saw the light”! What is wrong with her?! If I were Ren, I would lose her SO fast! I thought she actually learned something in TIGER’S QUEST and seemed more grown up, but NOT SO!! Why on earth would you choose some doormat with whom you have zilch chemistry when your true soul mate is RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!!! Colleen, there had better be some kind of supernatural explanation for Kelsey’s behavior--or some extraordinary groveling and serious making it up to poor Ren POST HASTE! Kelsey is the biggest idiot! I hated her so much for most of the last half of the book that I almost couldn’t finish it--if it hadn’t been for the fantastic adventure story going on, I seriously would have put the book away. Kelsey and Ren are both SO stubborn--once their minds are made up, they will NOT be changed no matter what--no matter if the decision is completely illogical or doomed to cause them (and the one they love) endless unhappiness.

And, why was Kishan such a doormat anyway?! No personality showing through--no more fun bad boy. No reason for me to at all waver in my Team Ren stance (although I now wonder if Kelsey deserves Ren anyway--maybe I am Team Kishan after all (or Team Lokesh!) where Kelsey’s concerned--bring on Nilima (or someone equally fabulous) for Ren!). And, why on earth would Kishan want to be with someone who is clearly in love with his brother anyway?! Seems like he has no self-respect--no desire to be with someone who is crazy about only him and not pining over someone else. The two of them don’t even have any chemistry anymore at all. I definitely saw some in QUEST, but that is NO MORE!! Kishan acts almost like he’s her brother in this book--not exciting at all.

I actually don’t mind love triangles in books, as long as they aren’t as pointless as this one. Maybe I’m missing some big picture that Colleen is creating (and I’m starting to think that must be the case), but this triangle seems SO STUPID when Kelsey so clearly belongs with one guy. It reminds me of the Ren-Li thing in QUEST where Li finally had to push Kelsey to do what was best for her--stop dragging her feet and wasting her time on him when he could see she really wanted Ren. I kept expecting Kishan to have to do the same thing--point out the obvious to Kelsey. Not too flattering to Ren that she won’t out and out choose him of her own volition--she has to have the other guy hit her in the face for her to make the right choice! I guess she has to decide between safe (when on earth did Kishan become the “safe” option anyway?!) and risk free (again, since when does this describe Kishan?!) or truly living and loving. Hopefully Kishan doesn’t have to make the choice for her (although I’d love to see him show some self-respect and tell her to get lost!). Make some hard choices, Kelsey!! You don’t get the real prize and the passion without a little risk!

I guess I should stop my incoherent rant and have a little faith that Colleen is going somewhere that will make sense in the end and restore my respect and regard for Kelsey. If nothing else, the next book should bring more fantastic adventure and humor. And, I need that serious cliffhanger at the end of VOYAGE tied up anyway! So, I’ll definitely be reading more. Hopefully I can continue to resist the urge to scream and throw things every time the romance is referenced.

First off I have to say that overall the book got 3 stars. My favorite tiger, got 5 stars, Kelsey got 1 star, because she just needs to get a new brain. That being said, I can't stand how these books reel me in and then they throw me down hard at the end. The problem is that I seem to like that, since it's happened 3 times and I know I will go on to the next book. ...more

The adventure continues in the third book of the series. The stakes are higher as Ren, Kelsey and Kishan have to overcome dragons to fulfill the next part of the prophecy. Colleen Houck does an amazing job with the incorporating mythology into her story. I just couldn’t get enough of all the stories told in this book. What I loved reading the most was about the dragons. Each dragon was different with their own personality and quirks. I can’t wait to find out what happens next in the fourth book!

Fabulous new book in the Tiger's series. Every book gets better and it gets to the point that I dream about the characters sometimes (mostly when I am reading or have just finished reading the books).
Lots of great reading for all to look forward to in November.
I loved this one the most, but can't wait to see how it all ends....it's hard to wait sometimes so I normally don't start reading a series until the books are all finished and out. ...more

The best one yet! These cliff hanger endings are gonna kill me though. I usually get annoyed when a series goes past 3 books, but with this one I am so glad there are two more to come! Sooo loving me some Tigers!!
