this was beautifully written and i suspected i might like the novel just based on the author's intro. i'm feeling a bit sad though. the suicides were troubling and the open ending was surprising. I typically do not like first person reads but in this story it really worked. did i mention how pretty things events people were described in this book?!? I'm a big fan of writing letters and this had a lot of them. I started with audio but switched to kindle half way through bc i needed to know how it

Not my favorite Murakami, but it was worthwhile in a melancholy sort of way.
