Continuing my Sedaris binge has not been difficult to want to do, as his tone, both in his writing and on the audio performed by him, are oddly comfortable, familiar, and at times, almost oddly like thoughts I have had in similar situations. His voice, although somewhat strange, is beginning to feel like a cozy, neurotic blanket while my partner is away at school, and I find a lot of this is from his warm, quirky relationship with Hugh as described in the book, which too often mirrors my own. I learned that David Sedaris is awesome. Great, hilarious, real (short) stories of suburban life. A great one for reading on far apart weekends at SarahLynda Johnson's.
