This book kicked ass. Craig Gilner is a fifteen year old boy living a fairly blessed life in Manhattan. He gets into the Executive Pre-Professional High School, which is the most competitive high school in all the boroughs, and proceeds to buckle under the pressure of the expectations and workload. Craig Gilner gets in over his head academically, and the stress is too much for him. He considers suicide, but fortunately remembers his mom's instructions to call a suicide hotline if he needs to. He voluntarily admits himself to the mental ward at the hospital, and in this expectation free environment has the time to find some answers.
