What Members Thought
Zoo City begins as an entertaining pastiche of urban fantasy and hardboiled crime fiction. It is excellently paced even if the prose did not completely blow me away. Part 2 reveals a clever understanding of genre that goes beyond the pastiche of the first part of the novel.
