I have never been really interested in growing flowers outside of their role as pollen/nectar sources for my bees. I know this is a little backwards, but I really only like plants you can eat. Lo & Behold, the intersection of ornamental flower gardens & edible crops: edible flowers. Now, if it were a zombie apocalypse or like, peak oil shit hit the fan, edible flowers would not keep your family alive. For that, you should be growing potatoes.
