Another satisfying set of stories about my favorite modern noir character Matthew Scudder. This collection has several stories that delve into the complexities of the relationship between Matthew and his wife Elaine, an art collector, jazz lover, and former prostitute. I've always enjoyed their relationship, so these stories were particularly satisfying for me. Lawrence Block, I heart you.
