Take back your world! Jane survives a bomb attack, and her freaked out parents move the family to the "safer" suburbs. Awesome. I had this recommended to me a bunch of times, and I finally just read it. Jane moves from "Metro City" to the burbs following an explosion in the city a la 9-11 that unnerves her parents. She meets three other Janes that sit together during lunch so that they don't have to sit alone, but who don't actually appear to be friends otherwise. Girl makes friends with outsiders and they proceed to shower the town with random acts of art. Loved the depiction of student activism, artistic expression, and open mindedness - and all in graphic novel format! :)
