Four brilliant orphans are recruited by a Mr. Benedict, who needs their help to discover who is behind a plot to rule the world. The best thing about this book are the logic puzzles the kids have to solve to get invited into the Benedict Society - readers can figure out solutions at the same time the characters do. I really found myself rooting for those plucky orphans, each with their own unique personalities and skills. Go orphans! Save the world!

Very curious. I found it kind of uneven, some really good parts and some not so good. Could have used some editing to make it shorter and better. Overall though pretty interesting and a fun read. Great bad guy, brain washing take over the world evil plot. Book does a good job of transmitting a dark and depressing mood. Then it all gets resolved nice and neat.

Wonder orphan kids take a really strange test which they all pass. They form a society and are then assigned the task of saving the world.
