Teens love this book. Adults love this book. I thought it was...ok. I have high expectations for Ms. Stiefvater after The Scorpio Races. For some reason I just NEVER got into this story. I LOVE the concept (girl from family of psychic's only superpower is that she can augment the psychic ability of other people, and she is also destined to kill her true love if she kisses him). The slow pace, and the all-set-up-and-no-conclusion that comes with being the first book in a series left me intrigued but frustrated. For fans of characters and lush descriptions, not for those (like me) lacking patience. As rich and slow as molasses.
