i finally finished this book! i got really into it for a while, but then put it down for a couple months. it was a little dense for me at times... sometimes my attention wavers during pages upon pages without paragraph breaks. it was definitely worth it, though. This is a disturbing story of obsessive lust told with dark, witty humor. it is not a morality tale, which i appreciated. in the end, it made me think about the continuum of good and evil that exists in all of us, despite how we present

I really loved this love story. This was my favorite part--"my only grudge against nature was that I could not turn my Lolita inside out and apply voracious lips to her young matrix, her unknown heart, her nacreous liver, the sea-grapes of her lungs, her comely twin kidneys." Pg-165.
