I just added one more star to this book series for being strangely addictive... this book is better than the fist, introducing the more likeable Jacob and getting Edward out of the picture for a while.

I will probably be the only person out there who didn't just love this book. I liked the addition of Jacob, a good character and a new twist by adding werewolves into the mix. But I thought Bella was pretty whiny and self centered throughout the book. Her obsession with becoming a vampire seemed contrived though perhaps for someone so self centered it was believable. There seems to be no thought to the fact that if she "changes" she will be cut off from her parents who she clearly loves. A small

This second book brings in the werewolves. And, does it very well. It's longer than the first book but you'll have the same trouble putting it down. It's another just one more page book

Yes...after months of boycotting the twilight cult, I have succumbed to the hype and am voraciously reading the entire series...I'm embarrassed to say that I'm totally addicted!
