From cave kisses and twin thrones to weddings and funerals, City of Heavenly Fire is an epic read.

Be prepared to cry both happy tears...and many, many sad tears.

Because Cassandra Clare has done what Cassandra Clare does best: she's given us a tale filled with our favourite characters and plenty of chances for these characters to make a mess of things, almost-die, kiss, and throw about snarky commentary (and then almost-die again).

But honestly

I'm so afraid to read this, the blurb sounds really ominous. I don't want it to be a tragedy. I don't care what is realistic and what is not, I just want everyone to have their HEA. Please, Cassie Clare, can you pull a Stephanie Meyer and her Breaking Dawn this one time and let EVERYONE survive the big battle? Please?
Jace, Clary, Izzy, Simon, Alec, Magnus, Jocelyn, Luke - I need them all well and alive and happy at the end of this series!
And I suspect that in the last installment this series is

This book was long, at times, drawn out. I absolutely adored this series! This book, on the otherhand, was a little hard to be enthralled with. I breezed through the others in this series wanting more. This one only made me pleased it was finally over. It just didn't keep my attention as much as the others. It was good, but not great! However, I gave it four stars mainly for the ending.
I will give a more detailed review in a couple days at www.bookaholicbanter.com

THE FEELS. Oh my gosh. THE FEELS. How am I suppose to recover from this?

At first I didn't think I was going to give this 5 stars. Just something about the beginning bugged me. I think one reason was the fact that it didn't wow me or grab hold of my attention but I tried to look passed that since it was the first 100 something pages, and this beast of a book is 725. I didn't want to give this 5 stars just because it was the last book to the series. I wanted to give the 5 stars because it deserved

This book was amazing! I just finished it today and I am still not ready to admit that I am done The Mortal Instruments Series. It is my all time favourite series and I'm so glad the last book wasn't a let down. It was constantly changing POVs to make it interesting to read and kept the book, which was very long, fast paced allowing me to fly through it. However the thing that impressed me the most was how everything from all the books, mortal instruments and the infernal devices connected. Ever ...more

Oh god. So much anticipation. So many tears shed. And now it's over (though not really there is a sequel series coming- so yay!).

I love the development of the characters over the course of the series. And the beauty, yet reality of the writing. The way Cassandra Clare writes battle scenes. I could go on and on forever.

I have been waiting for this book for so long and IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! And really, the number of times I can honestly say that could probably be counted on one hand.

4 stars because I think it was little bit longer then it needed to be, and hence dragged in places. But other then that a great end to one of my favorite series!
