The Boston Globe describes Pictures of You "as part literary mystery, part domestic drama, and part psychological examination," and, indeed, the novel kept most critics on their toes the entire time. All in all, I was disappointed by this book. It was slow and didn't capture my attention until the last 25% or so, which is why I ended up giving it 3 stars instead of 2. I had to add a new shelf... Best of 2011! 4 1/2 stars. This book was wonderful. Great characters in a very touching story. I highly recommend this - thanks to Bob for sending it my way.

Good stuff. Kind of like a Jodi Picoult book (one of the good ones), but not as ripped from the headlines, and more realistic. Not a perfect ending all tied up in a bow, which is what made it more realistic to me.
