It was a wonderful read. Started with a 10 year old Daniel, the motherless child of the local rare bookshop owner who stumbles upon a mysterious manuscript in the cemetery of books, to which his father takes him. Slowly I read, halfway there I was angry at this book, hated it for being so blunt and bare and brambly at the same time. Feared that it would take away something dear to me, a sense of peace, and a vacant place on a shelf of all things esteemed. The latter half, seemed gentle, substantial, durable and dear. For all the l ...more
