What Members Thought

When compared to the first Poirot novel, this one falls short. But if one considers this as a standalone, it's not too bad. There are interesting twists, some of which ended up a bit confusing and far-fetched but overall, this book was a nice preview to many of the character quirks we associate with both Poirot and Hastings.
