I needed more scenes with Lara and Aren being happily married.
The angst nearly killed me, in the best way possible, but after all the heartbreak and betrayals and self-loathing and DESPERATE LONGING, we needed more happy moments.
I mean really, look at my precious baby, the king of my heart, Aren.

And my beloved Lara, the traitorous, repentant, ass-kicking queen who honestly tried to make amends.

Wow... it's such a... thorough steps of jail-breaking and trade system!
Once again, Danielle really master her fantasy so well, I mean if you see from the world-building, the trade system, and the political manuvre, they are all so detailed and tend to be quite complex, sometimes it's a bit hard for me to keep up, regardless I keep moving on.

Fantastic book, and much easier to read then the first book, because I went in knowing that it would push my buttons, so read it slower. But this one doesn't push my buttons, I breezed right through it,it was such an amazing read!

Not the sequel I was hoping for. Everything moved way to fast for my liking. Aren's forgiveness made no sense and seemed forced. I wanted Aren to forgive Lara and reunite with her, but the method on how it came about was not justifiable to the story. The plot seemed choppy towards the end, and definitely left unfinished. While I know that there's another book coming, Lara and Aren sorry felt rushed, unfinished, and choppy. Really wanted to love this series, and I'm so bummed that wasn't the case

TAKE ALL THE DANG STARS!!! This book was an incredible conclusion to Lara and Aren's journey. I could not stop listening!! I was worried because I usually can't get through an audiobook as fast as a print book but wow did I have no trouble with this audiobook!! This book made me laugh and cry and scream at my phone over and over!! I'll work on a full review for a bit later...right now I just need to cuddle under a blanket with some warm tea and contemplate this glorious work of book art!
