This book was so interesting! Of course, I love anything to do with Paris. Having been there several times before, I could really picture it. The author did a great job of describing this great city. The story is a fictionalization tale about a real person, Marthe de Florian, a courtesan from the late 1800s. Her apartment in Paris was recently found in 2010 after her granddaughter died at age 91. I really enjoyed this book. I loved books set back in time. This did not fail to disappoint.
