Written by the same author of The Kite Runner, Hosseini writes with undisputable and creative flair. A Thousand Splendid Suns is a strong story about Afghan women during war times there with plenty of hardship, loss and grief. Among these chapters the women show faith, courage, hope and strength as they struggle with their everyday lives during these significant changes.

Bookish Enchantment (Katherine Quirke)
For me in many ways this book was deeply disturbing and sad. There is no doubt in my mind this book is a reflection of the hardships so many people have been through and are still going through. Maybe those who feel the need to be racist should read this book and see the innocent people are just like the rest of us. We are all wanting love, family and security.
