I'd been eagerly waiting for this book for close to a year. This picks up about a week after Cinder is imprisoned. I was happy to see that this was going to include chapters about both Cinder and Kai. I was worried I would have to wait to find out what happened to these two. I really loved this book. This is the seconed book in the Lunar Chronicles series and I can't wait for the third book to come out. Each of the first two books have been loosely based on childrens stories. For people looking to hear only about Cinder in this book you will be highly disappointed. I would say that a little less than half the book is devoted to her. However you are introduced to a new character, Scarlet, and her grandmother. I definitely enjoyed this one more than Cinder and can't wait to see which fairy tale the next book follows!
I loved the incorporation of little red riding hood. I think that with the first book, everyone knows Cinderella so well that we can really predict what's going to happen and it kind of ruined the plot, but there was so much more play between Scarlet and the 'wolves' in general that made this one a bit more unique.
