OK so this one took me awhile to read but wow what a book. It starts off with a father taking his son the cemetery of forgotten books. Daniel is allowed to choose one book that will be his to keep and cherish. Once he chooses "Shadow of the Wind" the mystery begins. The descriptions are fantastic and the characters are wonderful. There is so much of a story in this book.

I really enjoyed the imaginitive story line and the parallels within it and the imagery at times is quite beautiful. As a keen reader since childhood I loved the idea of a cementary of forgotten books. However I did not like the style of writing, especially the techniques used when 'interviewing' friends of the author. I found the character of Fumero unbelievable. I especially thought the reading of 'lost' letters was a cheat info dump. In the second half of the book I increasingly found myself
