Margaret Beaufort was an extremely flawed woman as portrayed by Philippa Gregory. In her early life, I had great sympathy for her lot in life and the lack of love by her mother. However, as the story progressed, Margaret's zealous beliefs were no longer viewed by this reader as just a childhood phase.
