I suppose I am the odd one out on this one. I did not love it. Personally I thought the book was way too long, and it could have been cut by at least 150 pages and still told a decent story. Our main character Andras Lévi, in my opinion, meandered and at times I was absolutely sick of him and the long descriptions of where he was and what was happening in his life and other characters.

Very long. Enjoyed the details of Hungary's history in the war but took a while to get there. It was okay. ...more
