What Members Thought
This was an interesting story with a good mix of fantasy and historical fiction. Definitely a classic tale of good v. evil. Bess was a strong independent character defeating the odds presented throughout history despite her challenge of facing her arch nemesis, Gideon. I enjoyed reading segments of her life as told to her young protege, Tegan as much as her interaction and training with the young apprentice.
The story was paced well with a good mixture of dialogue and description.
