What Members Thought
Both stars are for the quality of writing. It took everything this queen of DNF had in her, not to throw this one back. Yes, I understand it is a classic. What I did not understand was why we had to spend 165 pages learning everything and anything about ships and sailing in this time period. Really? I doubt anyone who knew nothing about those things would have ever picked this book up. Last year I read Mr. Midshipman Hornblower and Lieutenant Hornblower, I liked them both I was really expecting
