It's the writing that had me hooked over the story itself. It's just one of those books that you just love reading the writing, if that makes sense. The story was interesting and had me turning pages but it also had it's moments that seemed to drag a bit. As far as the story goes, it's definitely not an edge-of-your-seat spy thriller /pageturner. Overall a good read and McEwan has become a favorite author of mine. ...more
