I just love 11-year-old Flavia de Luce, who relies on her keen powers of observation (and a more than a little knowledge of chemistry) to solve yet another murder (or two) in Bishop’s Lacey. It is London, 1950 and Flavia De Luce is back for another adventure. In the second book, while Flavia is cruising Bishop's Lacey on Gladys she comes across a BBC puppeteer and his pretty assistant in need of help. The Vicar steps in and offers them a place to stay and asks them to perform for the people of Bishop's Lacey. Rupert, the puppeteer agrees and Flavia offers her help.
