Nefertari, the forgotten princess is the nice of Queen Nefertiti. Because her family were branded heretics, Nefertari struggles to find her place in the ancient world.
Michelle Moran weaves an interesting tale of the Nineteenth Dynasty. Much research into this story with little historical facts was done.

I couldn't finish this one. I was completely surprised at how much I disliked this book. I really enjoyed the author's other books: Nefertiti and Cleopatra's Daughter and was expecting another engaging book. I read the other 2 a while ago and can't remember the details well but do remember really enjoying them. This one focuses exclusively on the romance (or whatever you want to call it) between Ramesses II and Nefertari and seemed to lack any historical fiction interest and seemed really cheesy ...more

Enjoyable read. While falling more toward romance than pure history it still gave a vivid picture of court life, political intrigue and religion while also providing detail on the clothing, jewelry and "home decor". Had to keep flipping back to the family tree provided to keep characters straight. Would have liked an annotated character list to make that easier.
