What Members Thought
The description made me expect a story of a boy with a natural ability to smell ingredients rising to become a renowned cook but, no. It was more about the conflict between old religions/beliefs and Christianity; nature vs man-centered society; community and sharing of bounty vs avarice and self aggrandizement.
