I have been reading Fannie Flagg since my late teens and have enjoyed her Southern humour, endearing and quirky characters and the escape to a cute small town. In one of my Goodreads group we have been read Flagg's book as a buddy read. Every few months we read one of Flagg's book, chronologically written. I hate to give bad reviews, and The All-Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion was quite good, making this even more of a surprise. I am sure the author meant well, but I couldn't get past the almost cavalier, flippant approach to such a serious mental health topic.
