Okay, I picked this book for a challenge here on Goodreads but now I want the whole set of these books. I'm loving these covers and they are too expensive right now. Maybe get one a month.

I will also have to admit I have never seen the Nutcracker on tv. I might have seen bits of one when I was little. Yeah, I never thought I would be into the play, movies, whatever . . . but now I want to watch them.

I have seen (as many people have) the ballet of The Nutcracker and have always enjoyed it especially the music, so I decided this year to read the classic story with one of my book clubs. I truly wanted to enjoy the story as much as I do love the ballet but the story fell short. The beginning of the story was quite slow in pace making it disjointed from the latter portion of the story, making it choppy.
