"There are some things you can't share without ending up liking each other, and knocking out a twelve-foot mountain troll is one of them"
I love reminiscing and reading these books! They truly are my childhood, and they will always be my favourite series.
First, I'd just like to remind everyone how clever this woman is. There are things in here that she mentions that don't make sense until the final few chapters of the series. That's how perfectly she's planned out every little detail. Everything ...more

I absolutely fell in love with the characters to start with and even though it's a middle grade novel as a 17 year old I feel that anybody could get into this book! I really wish I had the second book in my hand now so that I could continue on with the series!

Now, I wished that I had been a fan all along and didn't wait this long to read this book! I loved how it transported me into the world of Hogwarts and there wasn't a minute where I didn't want to know what happened next. Rowling knows how to write a good story filled with friendship, adventure and intrigue. There were times that I would be listening to this in my free mornings and I didn't realise how fast the time went. This book made me happy and even when I didn't listen to it for a little b

I've had some people tell me that they thought Harry Potter didn't hold up when it comes to a re-read when you're older. I A haven't re-read these books since I was 18 and I am now 25... I am here to say DAMN THESE STILL HOLD UP TO BEING AMAZING!!!
I loved re-reading and falling back in love with the world and the characters of Harry Potter!
Longer review to come soon! :) ...more

Yay I finished the audio CD for this book.
LOVED IT as always.
Stephen Fry imo does a fantastic job of telling the story.
It was over so quickly, but I loved every moment.

I'm rereading this after 17 years! I love it :)

Harry Potter is that one series that everyone talks about, hypes about, and all these years I convinced myself that I didn't like the theme of wizardry (which is true, I didn't like it) but I am so glad I started the Harry Potter series. It was a fantastic book! It was filled with magic, funny dialogue (especially Ron's witty comments at Hermione xD) All in all, this book can be enjoyed by anyone simply because of its simplicity.
This was one of my favourite lines :)

I loved rereading the Philospher's stone. It's amazing how much I forgot about the first book. I cannot wait to continue rereading this lovely series!
