Shelves: sci-fi-fantasy

I was so excited to start reading this and at first I was cross that the beginning was at the pub because I just wanted to know more about Kvothe at University so when we finally got back to the story within the story I was very happy. At times it felt a little like I did this and then I did this and then I did this and then massive gloss over what could've been an awesome swashbuckle tale BUT that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. Actually 4.5 stars.
I loved most of this book just as much as I loved The Name of the Wind, if not even more. There were just a couple of story arcs that went on for about 100 pages that I felt had little to do with the rest of the story, and I found myself hoping that it would get back to the story.
