I'm shocked that I like this book. I figured it was a one liner made into a book to capitalize on the whole zombie fad but it's actually quite good. More than once I found myself wondering if the author worked in a morgue (where the main character works) since she includes a lot of tidbits to make it real that aren't common knowledge such as how the skull is opened and what they do with the organs. The premise is clever and the zombies believable.

I wanted to hate this book - I mean me, read about zombies? You've got to be kidding right? But Angel Crawford is an awesome heroine. She's got just the right mix of humour, self-deprecation, guts and feistiness. I found that I was compelled to read and find out what had happened to her, who had 'turned' her and how she was going to survive. I honestly loved it and I'll definitely read more of the series. i'm not sure how many stars i want to give this book. it was good, i liked the plot BUT certain parts got repetitious which almost lost my interest and i feel there could have been more action. i'm not a zombie plot fan so i was excited for this book to suck me in. i haven't decided if i will continue the series. ...more

I am a lover of zombie books. I can’t figure out why but they are so much fun to read and something different than the normal paranormal that I read. Aw yeah and blood and guts don’t bother me either.

Angel was an amazing character and I enjoyed reading her transformation because she didn’t know what happened to her and what she was becoming. This book completely pulled at my heart strings.
