Update: Re-reading this series after almost 9 years and I had quite forgotten how much I enjoyed it the first time around. I remember loving it but I am glad and surprised at how much I am enjoying re-reading this series again after so many years. Still can't pick a favourite couple because how can I! But as far as the series is concerned Cress is so far my favorite book! Can't wait to re-read Winter!

Just finished cress!!! and i don't know where to start. I loved so many things about this book. The book's amazing. Honestly i don't think it could get better than this.

OMG! CAPTIAN THORNE!!!!!!!!!

He is so funny. He brings up everyone’s mood. I loved his first reaction to cress.
“Aces,” Carswell Thorne murmured. Dropping his feet to the ground, he leaned forward to inspect her closer. “Is that all hair?”

I really loved this book Scarlet was good, but it kind of strayed from all of the things that I really loved about Cinder that gave me the fuzzies, though to me to the book was still great just the pacing and characters through me off. So I was hesitant starting Cress and wasn’t really looking forward to it, but I am so glad I did. Cress is even better than both Cinder and Scarlet. Cinder has some problems with predictability and Scarlet had some parts where the plot seemed scattered and kind fe I really loved this book Scarlet was good, but it kind of strayed from all of the things that I really loved about Cinder that gave me the fuzzies, though to me to the book was still great just the pacing and characters through me off. In the beginning of the book some stuff happens and the group gets seperated which I really liked because it gave a chance to get to know each individual character a little bit better. I really though that Thorne and Cress would be love interests similar to Kai and Cinder and Scarlet and Wolf, but it was different because Cress seemed to have a creepy thing going on, but in the end it worked and it was sweet. My only problem with the love interests is why does everyone have to be paired? There is nothing with being by yourself and loving yourself.
I was really excited to see Cinder facing and ultimately making a decision on her being the rightful air. Another thing I mention in my first review on Cinder was that is amazing because it makes these characters question their motivation, intentions, etc. which makes the more relatable. Can she really do this, lead people and start a rebellion? Should she simply give up and continue hiding from Levana? Is she slowly becoming the very woman whom she fears?
Scarlet is not very present in Cress, but her role looks like it’ll be more important in the final installment, Winter. I can’t really talk about what Scarlet endures in this novel because I’m tip toeing around a minefield of spoilers here, but I was very surprised to see how far Meyer was willing push her character’s limits. And if you’ve already read Cress, I think you know exactly what scene I’m referring to. Can we say, “IT JUST GOT REAL?”
Overall, I’m left both amazed and impressed with Cress. I can confidently say that this series just gets better and better and I’d consider this my favorite so far. With the sneak peek of the newest character, Winter (she's adorably certifiable), at the end, I dying for WINTER to come out!!!
