Overall a good read. Compelling enough that I churned through it in 2 days. The characters are all despicable; the narrators unreliable.
The ending was disappointing. Deducted one star because I guessed 'whodunnit' and why about 1/4 of the way in.
Still yet to find an ending that knocked me on my arse as much as Sharp Objects did. ...more

I completely and utterly enjoyed this book. It was recommended to me by my father in law and I had heard other people say that this book was amazing but despite having already heard that I didn't know what the actual story was about. When I first picked up the book and started reading and "listening" about Jess and Jason from Rachel I wondered what on earth was actually going to happen. I was gripped throughout the whole thing and every page just left me wanting to read me until I had finished.
