I can happily say that The Blood Mirror is a worthy penultimate entry into the fantastic Lightbringer world created by Brent Weeks. I loved this book. It made me question so much. It made me laugh. It made me cry. It made me rage and despair. It gave me hope and took it away. It shocked me and delighted me. It ended way too soon.

I do not deny it. I am easy to please. And fantasy….fantasy is my kryptonite. But I had HEAPS of fun reading this tale. It fell short of perfection, but it nev

Good writing as always from Mr. Weeks. However, this is very much a transition book. I think the biggest flaw was the maneuvering felt a little heavy handed. All of the reveals were awesome but there wasn't much of a climax outside of them. The book focuses on the larger story at the expense of the awesome fight and dialogue scenes that made up the first three books.

That said there are some great moments. Teia is a great character and I love how she isn't immune to the decisions that she makes.

The Blood Mirror by Brent Weeks is the fourth in a planned series of five epic fantasy books. The series has a wonderfully imaginative magic system in which magic users can turn light into a physical substance. luxin. Each spectrum of light (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet) produces luxin with different properties and uses. If you’ve not yet started this series, I heartily recommend it. Go start with The Black Prism. I strongly suggest experiencing this series in audiobook forma ...more

This book moved me, made me smile, and laugh, and weep.
Now this book is finished, yet the series is not.
I only just finished the book and ... Now what.
I can't believe I have to wait another 2 years, but if that's what it takes, I will gladly wait. Albeit with barely contained grief that IT'S ANOTHER 2 FRIGGIN YEARS. *breaks into tears*

WOW! Action and intrigue and tension and twists and revelations and we are still left to wonder who is going to survive and how will they do it. By good or evil. Will magic be killed or go completely wild? What is going to happen next with Kip, Karris and Dazen/Gavin?

I hope Brent Weeks has a great epiphany while writing the last book and he gets it done in record time!
