This just proves I really need to start my book club books earlier since I just finished this and book club is tonight.
This was slow going at first but when it picked up things became very entertaining and interesting. The Cold War and vampires…what could go wrong?

Necroscope rocks! At around the 50 page mark I knew that I was in for a treat. Lumley does a great job of ramping up the confrontation between the protagonist & antagonist in this book. Although some of the political dealings do show the book's age, it is still a good read. Lumley's take on vampirism is unique and brilliant. There are some great characters in this volume that you'll meet again in subsequent volumes.

LOVE this series I have all of them ( 10 or 12?) and are some of the best non romance vampire books I think.. if you like really evil vampires! or Whampires.. really theses books are good.. his concept of where they come from is really unique too.. they are all action packed and a great read.
