All I can say is that I KNOW I'm going to love these books! Simply because.... a rich hot billionaire.... Not the relationship type...

Beg acts as an excellent introduction to the rest of this series, but it is both pacey and HOT!

The author develops the characters, their relationships and their hang-ups.

Monica is a great singer, and her best friend, Gabby, accompanies her on the piano. The play gigs at night clubs and bars, but are still awaiting their big break. They feel that it is bound to come. Gabby knows the names of all the people in the music industry who can help them towards their goal. However, she is unstable and de Beg acts as an excellent introduction to the rest of this series, but it is both pacey and HOT!

Monica is a great singer, and her best friend, Gabby, accompanies her on the piano. The play gigs at night clubs and bars, but are still awaiting their big break. They feel that it is bound to come. Gabby knows the names of all the people in the music industry who can help them towards their goal. However, she is unstable and depressed. So depressed is she, that she bounces in and out of being suicidal.

Between Monica and her ex, Darren, who is also Gabby's brother, they keep a safe watch on her to make sure that she doesn't terminate her life. This adds stress for both of them, and impacts their social lives.

Of course, like most aspiring musicians who are working hard for their big breaks, Monica has to work at a day, or night, job. She waitresses.
But she is easily distracted. The result is that she tips a tray of drinks into the lap of the billionaire owner, Jonathan, and gets fired.

You can read more of the story in the book description and all of the reviews. The short version is that Monica and Jonathan fall for each other. Jonathan is a divorcee who doesn't want a serious relationship, and would like a string of women who will submit to his dominant tendencies. He does NOT want a long term relationship with Monica! Will he? Won't he? On the other hand, Monica wants Jonathan so much that she will do ANYTHING he asks.

The outcome is SMOLDERING!

Other characters are developed and come into play, but you need to read the book to find out more.

The end of the book is such a cliffhanger that you are compelled to pick up the next one. I found this a little irritating as there is no need for it. Songs of Submission (Beg, Tease, Submit) is not what I would call a proper trilogy. It is a novel which has been unnaturally sawed into three pieces.

Loved this book...had me hooked from the beginning. Thanks to one of the many book clubs I belong to I was finally able to get around to reading it. Now on to the next book.

I'm thinking 2 and 1/2... maybe 3 wonky stars..

Yeah.

Here's the thing about this. I think the problem was that I heard a LOT of things about it. Good things. And with all the expectations I've been building up, I thought I'd find something out of this world.. but, unfortunately, that did not happen. And it did not happen in a big way.
