The first one was much better.
In the sequel, Thomas and his Gladers meet a new group, Group B, which is filled with girls. They find out that it was basically the same thing, just a gender switch. They have two weeks to cross the desert in the scorching hot sun, without trying to turn into a Crank by the Flare.
It was okay. Teresa really got on my nerves though when she got mentioned. So far, I prefer The Maze Runner over this one.

I enjoyed The Scorch Trials very much. The writing was just like in Book One, the Maze Runner, but I have one complaint- I didnt get the world they were in. I had to re read some passages over because they didn't make much sense.
