*NOTE: I read this book first and I am aware it is the third book*

WORLDBUILDING:0. The premise is kind of exciting, but it falls flat from then on. Since I haven't read the first two books, I expected this to be the wrap up of the series, but in my opinion, it is a jumbled mess. The worldbuilding sucked. Sorry, but it is true. It is so typical- things go chaotic in the future. Can't find food, can't finds anything but we have to go through dead people's houses and go through thei REAL RATING: 2.5

Since I haven't read the first two books, I expected this to be the wrap up of the series, but in my opinion, it is a jumbled mess. The worldbuilding sucked. Sorry, but it is true. It is so typical- things go chaotic in the future. Can't find food, can't finds anything but we have to go through dead people's houses and go through their stuff.

WRITING: 0. I did not enjoy the writing. I don't know if this is Pfeffer's real writing- it is my first novel by her, but it was just too... I don't know, simple. No details. The diary idea was kind of cool but it would have been the same without it- simple writing. Suzane Collins write simple too but her words have so much meaning, which makes Suzane's writing on a new level. Pfeffer's doesn't. It is flat, boring and nothing special.

CHARACTERS: 0.5 I liked Miranda. She's the reason it is not two stars. She's not very weak- she doesn't just moan and complain about her life. Her jealousy that her father might like the others more was reasonable. She had an interesting tone of voice and I liked being inside her head. If I wasn't inside her head, the characters would have gotten a zero.
ALEX. Okay, what was the romance between the two? It was soooo obvious that Pfeffer didn't want them to have insta-love, because she made Miranda not like Alex at first, but really?
I was with Miranda for the first half of the book but when Alex arrived, okay, my like for her was gone.
So what Alex really wants is her?
NOT A GOOD ROMACE AT ALL! -25 points.
