This book came highly recommended from my friend. I always listen
to her now since this book redefined thriller for me. The book
has quite an eccentric character in Agent Prendergast and I wound up
reading each and every subsequent book that he was in. The character
is one of my favorites.
THe book can be gruesome in parts but it really keeps you guessing
to the point where you go back and see if there were clues to the
twist.

Not being able to sit still and not read, and the cereal box was boring, I picked up this book and just began to read, long enough to finish my cereal. Well....all that day,which was Saturday, and all the next,Sunday, obviously, I absolutely * could * not * put * this * book * down. Fortunately, there was nothing I had to do that weekend. I was smitten with him.
I have gone through most of Douglas Prestons' books and love them. This is my favorite. Still Life With Crows in the second favorite.

I loved this book. I started at the beginning with Relic and am progressing through the Pendergast novels. Cabinet kept me on the edge of my seat! I couldn't put it down and just had to keep reading more, even though my eyes couldn't take it. It was intense, gruesome, and I caught a few things towards the end that make me think there will be connections in the upcoming Pendergast novels! I'm excited to read the next one...Still Life With Crows.

Not bad. I'm reading this out of sequence, so it's nice to get some more back story on the characters. Better than Wheel of Darkness, to be honest. I'll have to say, Agent Pendergast is becoming one of my favorite main characters in a long time, just the right amount of mystique, ingenuity, and strange sex appeal. Next will probably Still Life with Crows and then waiting until the newest book comes out.

lots of bad language from a few characters but the suspense is amazing...great story
