I terribly wanted to love this book. Having first read it in high school, I felt it was a great time to revisit it many years later as an adult. I thought now I would pick up on all the greatness I must not have appreciated then.
I still don't get it. It pains me to admit that, but it's the truth. The first half of the book I was interested. However, the story line felt dull and anti-climatic. It was unable to capture me.

contrary to what many people thought, i am not a big enough book worm to enjoy this book. of course, it was quite a few years ago that i read it but i remember distinctly not reading as carefully as i could have and having to make up answers on a few quizzes. sorry ms. kroner!
I didn't love this as much as I thought I would. Beautifully written, but the story didn't quite developed the way I wanted it to.

Tragic, and not what it seemed to be at first. Much like the title character. The Great Gatsby is a must read for everyone.
If you plan on or have read The Double Bind, this is a good companion book. Clarifies some of the plot in the book.
