I read this book because it was controversial (yes that generally is why I read the latest "it" books) with many Christian conservatives. I am a Christian-but I rarely tend to get wrapped up in this kind of thing because I always ask myself-if you don't believe how can you be criticized for being heretical? I really enjoyed this book because it taught me something very important: reading can be fun. Sure, it won't change your life and it's not the most sophisticated fiction out there. But Dan Brown didn't reinvent the formula--he mastered it. For maybe the first time in my life, I took a book to work to read on my lunch break.
