I really enjoyed this book. I can't give it all five stars, though. This may only be because I read how great it was, and that usually makes it just not quite as good for me.
This was a full circle book. The reader connected with the author and Marley right from the beginning. The entire book I knew I would have to deal with Marleys inevitable death, but I still was not prepared. One of my own dogs was at my side as I sobbed the last pages of the book.

See, this is why I have a cat and not a dog. I really don't think I could handle a dog like Marley. My mother has a dog who is very similar to him in temperment and I really can't stand him. I like dogs, but I guess I like dogs who have more of a cat personality. If I ever get a dog, which I won't outrule, I think it would have to be under 25 pounds.
