It gave a lot of meaning to when you want to be somewhere else. How nothing is ever perfect and how we don't want everything we desire anyway. It was also a spooky book to read in October so I liked it a lot. Discovering how many other people where in the other mother's world was a real eye opener from the movie I had watched beforehand. What really bugs me is that this book was an English book all along and we "Americanized" it in the movie.

A very well written tale that both adults and children will enjoy. Coraline is a great heroine, with her flaws and her strengths. I really appreciated that (view spoiler) . There were also a good few scary moments, with quite a convincing villain.
